First Overall Win for TKO Motorsports

Oct 30, 2017

RENO, NV — It was an exciting weekend for TKO Motorsports as they achieved their first overall win at Porsche Racing Club’s 2-day event at Sonoma Raceway.

Owner and driver David Traitel was behind the wheel of TKO’s No. 101 Porsche 911 GT3 R for this momentous occasion. It was his first time back behind the wheel since the team’s extensive summer of testing.

Racing against some of Porsche Racing Club’s best drivers, David laid down quick lap times qualifying in the top 2 for Saturday’s race and on pole for Sunday’s race. TKO Motorsports’ team driver Memo Gidley was on-hand coaching David.

The weekend resulted in two overall race wins on Saturday and Sunday. Following this successful racing event Memo and David will be joining forces as one to compete in the Sprint X series for Pirelli World Challenge during the 2018 race season.

“It feels great to be taking home a win after all of our efforts this summer,” said David. “With our determination I know this will be the first of many on the road ahead.”

“I couldn’t be more proud of the job David did out there this weekend,” said Memo. “He has worked so hard to get to this level of racing. I’m looking forward to racing alongside him next year in PWC. It’s going to be one heck of a ride and I can’t wait to get started.”
