For the grassroots amateur drivers, SIMPLE data is a very valuable tool when you use it correctly. When data is over-used it can be a beast of burden that will cause drivers mental paralysis and lost time on the track.
Basic data is all you need to make yourself a better driver when you’re working alone. Lap times, brakes, acceleration traces with track overlay, and in car video are all you should look at for the most part; or just the basic down and dirty, cut and dry LAP TIMES if you’re new to the track to start and see your progression. Aim Solo and Solo2 Onboard Data are our personal favorite systems. You get the best bang for the buck and they are easy to use.
Simple data is GOOD, in car video is GREAT, having a good time on and off track with your track buddies…PRICELESS!
